Hello everyone, this week we will approach a game features that we called the 'Faith'.
Faith :
In the older entry (W7 & W8), you have probably already heard the word 'Faith', it is a game feature designed in order to complexify the game and to improve the Nation feature.
First of all, the faith as energy and materials is a resource of your Nation. The main difference with the other resources is that this resources gathering and usage is based on the Nation played.
Indeed, there are 2 means to provide 'Faith Point' (resource used for Faith features) to your Nation :
- Over the time : Each Nation will earn Faith Points over the time.
- Building : Nation can invest in building intended to their faith to generate more Faith Points.
Important point to know, the amount of Faith Points provided is influencing by the Nation characteristic (cf. W7 - Nation characteristic entry) !
Faith Powers :
Now we will deal about what is the Faith features impact in the game.
In a first time, we designed "Faith Powers" that are spells specific to your Nation which should provide important bonus over a short time in order to survive/beat your opponent.
To use this spells, you should pay with the Faith resource (Faith Points). the cost depends of the impact of the spell.
In order to design this feature, we decided to create 5 meta Tier of spells :
- Tier 1 - Small Nation Power : Providing a bonus based on the background of the Nation
- Tier 2 - Economy Boost : Which amount and over time depending of the Nation
- Tier 3 - Shield Last Hope : Defence spell
- Tier 4 - Strong Nation Power : Based on the background
- Tier 5 - End Game Power : Ultimate spell based on the background will should crush your opponent.
As an example you can check the Faith Powers of Azerk Tribe and JellyFish Empire.
